Esteponero author Sergio Bazán Peña presents his novel, ‘Treinta de Febrero y Uno de Marzo’, at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos.

The literary presentation will take place next Friday, November 21, at 9:00 p.m., with free access until full capacity is reached.

Estepona City Council informs that next Friday, November 21, at 21:00 hours, will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses, the presentation of the new book by the Estepona author Sergio Bazán Peña, his second work as a novelist, entitled ‘Treinta de Febrero y Uno de Marzo’ (Thirty February and One March). He will be accompanied by Juan Antonio Moreno Infantes, author of the book’s prologue, Raquel Mendez, author of the image that illustrates the cover and the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Begoña Ortiz, who will be in charge of the presentation of the book.

The novel, published by the publisher ExLibric, is set in the early twenty-first century, where its main protagonist, Agapito, by mere chance, and while participating in sporting events in different places, events, purposes and details of the sports events arise. As he attends the events, he has more and more encounters with participants in the competitions who, in the long run, become friends as a result of the trance that takes place in the events. The great majority of the tests developed, of much physical effort and of much training, become a philosophy of life.

Sergio Bazán Peña was born on August 16, 1974 in Estepona. He has a degree in Business Administration and Management, and currently works as a tax advisor. He has been fond of writing since his university days. In 2001 he wrote his first book, ‘Once upon a time’, as a result of his experiences to obtain his university degree, in the peculiar transit of student life and its customs.

For the theater world, he has written two plays of the comedy genre; the first in 2008, entitled ‘Vida Crucis’, and a second in 2014, ‘Una vida y la vida’. And in his creative facet, he has also recorded a total of 75 phrases for sugar sachets in coffee shops.

Now he presents his second work, the novel ‘Treinta de Febrero y Uno de Marzo’, with which the author competed in 2019 for the I Premio de Novela ‘Ciudad de Estepona’. The work was written during the eighty days that the registration period was open in the call.
