A total of 312 students from 13 schools will participate this Friday in the School Athletics Final 2023-24
It will be held from 5.30 p.m. at the Estepona Athletics Stadium.
The Estepona City Council informs that next Friday, May 31, from 17.30 hours, the School Athletics Final will be held at the Municipal Athletics Stadium. The activity is organized by the 24 Hours Sports Foundation with the collaboration of the City Council of Estepona, within the School Games program, and with the participation of the Primary Education centers of Estepona. This year, 32 representatives (16 boys and 16 girls) from the 13 schools participating in the 2023-24 course have been classified for each center, totaling 312 students.
The classification is obtained by the best students of each school that in the School Athletics Day (held previously in their school center) have managed to be among the top four in their respective categories: Benjamin (3rd-4th grade) and Alevín (5th-6th grade), both in the speed and endurance modalities. The participants are: CEIP Antonio Machado, María Espinosa, Ntra. Sra. del Carmen, Sto. Tomás de Aquino, CEPr Víctor de la Serna, CEIP Ramón Lago, Sierra Bermeja, Simón Fernández, Ramón García y Valeriano López, Colegio Juan XXIII, and CEIP García Lorca and Isdabe del Mar.
The program of activities is as follows:
– Delivery of dorsal Benjamin (Athletics Stadium Square), from 16.45 to 17.30.
– Entry into the track, inaugural parade and start of the races.
– Speed: Speed warm-up, followed by Speed Series (50m) and Speed Finals (50m).
– Delivery of bibs (Plaza del Estadio de Atletismo), from 17.45 to 18.30.
– Endurance: Endurance Warm-up and then Endurance Finals (400m).
– Mixed Relays and Medal Ceremony.
Once finished their tests, all participants who request it will be able to collect a commemorative diploma of the activity.
