Casa de Las Tejerinas will host an exhibition of paintings by Argentine artist Edgard Colucci
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Thursday, January 18, at 6:00 p.m. and will be open to the public until January 31.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that next Thursday, January 18, at 18:00 hours, an exhibition of paintings by the Argentinean artist Edgard Colucci will be inaugurated in Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores.
The exhibition consists of 11 large format works, and can be visited until January 31, from Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access. His artistic work is defined by its conceptual and abstract character, designed to connect with the present, what the artist calls “the nothingness itself” or Nunc Stans.
Edgard Colucci was born on September 15, 1978 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From an early age, he was known for being self-aware and defying the expectations others had for him.
Throughout his life, he says he has shaped his own sense of identity and purpose, recognizing that the best teachers are parents and every individual who has crossed his path on this journey we call life. He likes to describe himself as someone who sees the world from a unique perspective, as if it were upside down.
His studies include Primary and Secondary Education, although he decided to drop out of college shortly after starting. However, she has continued her education independently, achieving master’s degrees in psychology, with a focus on child, adolescent and youth psychology. In her search for authenticity and connection to the world around her, she found an unexpected source of inspiration in an artist during one of her trips to Spain, where she currently resides.
In each stroke, he sees an opportunity to explore the duality where perception is individually intertwined. For him, observing is not the same as looking. Each work is a dialogue between his inner self and the canvas, where emotions are expressed in an abstract but deeply meaningful way.
The art he makes is for the NGO Creatividad Eterna, which seeks to facilitate the necessary means for the development of creativity through art, in underprivileged places or with few resources on this planet.
