Concert of the Czech group ‘Cechomor’ outside the Mirador del Carmen
The band will offer its traditional music with rock arrangements in a free performance on Sunday, June 2, at 9:30 p.m.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that next Sunday, June 2, at 21:30 hours, will take place in the Avenida de España, next to the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center, a free concert of the famous Czech folk rock band Cechomor that will offer rock versions of traditional songs.
Founded in Prague in 1988, the group is formed by five musicians. Their music combines traditional instruments such as violin, accordion, cello or brass, with other instruments more linked to rock, such as electric guitar and drums, creating a sound typical of one of the most popular bands in their country.
In their concerts they fuse Czech, Slovak and Polish folk music with rock arrangements, with the aim of bringing this music to the younger generations.
Cechomor has toured all over the world and has received numerous awards. They have released more than twenty albums, 4 of them platinum.
They have collaborated with great artists from different countries, such as the American singer Suzanne Vega, or the musician Jaz Coleman.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Madrid collaborates in this concert.
