Estepona closes the III Provincial Badminton Circuit 2023 with a total of 95 participants from 13 different clubs in the province.
The event was held on Sunday at the Polideportivo El Carmen facilities.
The City Council of Estepona reports that the III Provincial Circuit Badminton Provincial Council of Malaga 2023 held yesterday in the town its last test of the calendar.
The day was held at the facilities of the Polideportivo El Carmen, with a total of 95 participants from 13 different clubs in the province, which were able to enjoy the practice of this sport that grows significantly in Estepona, thanks to the work of the Municipal School of Badminton (developed by the Foundation 24 HD), the young Badminton Club Estepona and support from the City Council, to minority sports.
The Circuit was open to athletes of all levels, federated and non-federated, in categories from U-11, U-13, U-15, U-15, U-17, U-19, absolute and senior, in singles and doubles male and female.
In addition to the awards ceremony, the provincial champions of the whole circuit were also awarded.
This year, nearly 500 athletes have participated in the III Provincial Badminton Circuit 2023, organized by the Provincial Council of Malaga, the Andalusian Federation of Badminton, through the Malaga delegation, and the municipalities attached to the program.
In this edition, the circuit has had five venues. It started last May 7 in Villanueva de Algaidas, where the Estepona Badminton Club did a great role, highlighting the two golds in IM senior amateur and senior DM, for José Luis Hernández, and continued in the towns of Villanueva de la Concepción, Cañete la Real and Alhaurín el Grande, until reaching Estepona, home of the last test, which had the collaboration of the Estepona Badminton Club.
