Municipal Nursery Schools celebrate the beginning of Easter Week in Estepona
The students of the schools ‘El Nido’ and ‘Los Pitufos’ have participated in a didactic concert with typical music of the Passion Week and processional marches.
The Estepona City Council informs that the students of the Municipal Nursery Schools ‘El Nido’ and ‘Los Pitufos’ have enjoyed this morning a live didactic concert with Easter and processional music.
The music of Holy Week allows to investigate on its creative and cultural diversity and, at the same time, to recover patrimonial primary sources, besides contributing to the development of values such as effort, discipline, perseverance and cooperative work.
The aim of this activity is to get the children to know and respect the cultural heritage of Andalusia, based on the knowledge and understanding of our culture.
In this way, they have had the opportunity to interact with the instruments, resulting in a fun and participatory day.
This activity, sponsored by the Junta de Andalucía in collaboration with the Consistory, has been in charge of parents of students with musical knowledge, and is framed in the development of activities that encompass the curriculum of Early Childhood Education, in which Holy Week and its processional music is included as one of the most representative creative references of the musical heritage of Andalusia, given that its diversity, social projection and popularity favors the existence of a wide and diversified repertoire that articulates the development of the celebrations of Holy Week and allows a diffusion of international character.
