Presentation of the Swimming Crossing Virgen del Carmen Coronada of Estepona, to be held on Sunday July 21 at La Rada beach (in front of the square Diario ABC).

The registration period, limited to 300 participants, will remain open until July 19 at 5:00 p.m. at dorsalchip.es

The Councillor for Sports (Luis M. Gil), accompanied by the President of the CNE (Joaquín García) and the Director of the event (Elena Martos), have presented the eighth edition of the Swimming Crossing Virgen del Carmen Coronada to be held next Sunday, July 21, from 11.00 am, on the beach of La Rada, in front of the square of the ABC Newspaper.

Organized by the Estepona CNE Swimming Club, with the collaboration of the City Council of Estepona maintains its objective of promoting swimming and especially motivate neighbors to participate in their activities both popular and federative. It will be a new opportunity to bring together fans of open water swimming that, as in past editions, come from different parts of Spain and Europe, as it is consolidated in the annual calendar of crossings.

The test continues to have solidarity, in collaboration with the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Carmen Coronada, so participants are asked to contribute, the day of the test, 1 kilo of non-perishable food for Caritas Parish of Carmen.

For this edition a children’s race has been scheduled with two distances: a short one of 300 meters for children born between 2013 and 2016 inclusive, and another of 600 meters for swimmers born between 2010 and 2013, inclusive.

The adult race will also have two distances: one of 1,400 meters for swimmers born since 2010, inclusive; and another of 2,600 meters for swimmers born since 2009, inclusive.

To register, limited to 300 participants, those interested can access the website of the professional timing company www.dorsalchip.es, where all the personal data of each swimmer will be provided and where the rules of the event can also be consulted. The deadline will remain open until July 19 at 5:00 pm.
