Recital ‘Woman and Poetry’ with actress Charo López at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center.
The event will take place next Friday, May 31, at 8:00 p.m., with free access until full capacity is reached.
The artist will be accompanied by José Manuel Cuenca on piano, and baritone Luis Santana.
The Estepona City Council informs that next Friday, May 31, at 20.00 hours, will be presented at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center, the recital ‘Women and Poetry’ in the voice of Charo Lopez, along with baritone Luis Santana. They will be accompanied on piano by José Manuel Cuenca.
The renowned actress will give voice to poetry by women such as Rosalía de Castro or Gabriela Mistral, among others, in order to highlight the role of women in poetry written throughout history, highlighting the value of women’s contribution to culture.
This activity, produced by the company Lastra Productions, is programmed by the municipal delegation of Women, under the Funds of the State Pact against Gender Violence of the Ministry of Equality, Secretary of State for Equality and for the Eradication of Violence against Women.
The Deputy Mayor of the Sociocultural Area, Paula Herrera, encourages attendance at this event which aims to reach a diverse audience with the important purpose of raising awareness against gender violence.
The high recognition of the actress Charo Lopez came in 1980 with a supporting role in the television series ‘Fortunata and Jacinta’, by Mario Camus, and especially thanks to the character of Clara Aldan in ‘Los gozos y las sombras’, a successful series based on the novel of the same name by Gonzalo Torrente Ballester. Also noteworthy is her extensive record in the world of film and theater, where in recent times she has been inclined to work in plays that enhance her comic side.
