The artists Mónica Aveni and Sandra Mariño show their paintings at La Casa de Las Tejerinas.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, March 21, at 6:00 p.m., and it will be open to the public until April 10.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next Thursday, March 21, a joint painting exhibition of the artists Monica Aveni and Sandra Mariño. The pictorial sample consists of a total of 57 works (31 by Monica and 26 by Sandra) and will be inaugurated on the 21st at 18:00 hours. It can be visited until April 10, from Tuesday to Friday, from 10.00 to 20.00 hours, and Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 20.00 hours, with free access.
Ana Mónica Aveni. Plastic artist. She was born in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, and currently resides in Estepona. She has studied General History of Art, and has received watercolor classes, among other studies. His work appears in books such as ‘La Actualidad del Arte Argentino’, ‘Destacados Exponentes del Arte Argentino’ and ‘Artistas Argentinos’.
He has participated in the permanent exhibition Musée du Libérateur Général San Martin in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. Ambassade d’Argentine en France; ‘Patria Mía’, Inventoried piece. Sandra Mariño Rey. Plastic artist, designer and restorer. Of Galician parents and grandparents, she was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and currently lives in Estepona, where her family comes from. In her country she studied Graphic Design, Illustration, Drawing and Live Painting, and Painting and Abstract Art, and worked as a graphic and textile designer, artistic painter, and publicist.
Based in Spain since 2000, she is dedicated to the restoration, redesign, transformation and decorative painting of furniture and objects, mural painting, teaching painting techniques and restorative treatment of furniture. It is especially remarkable her treatment of trompe l’oeil mural and design of logos for individuals and companies.
