The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas will host from February 1 an exhibition of Pop Art by the artist Javier Melús from Tudela.

The opening of the exhibition, which consists of 32 works of medium and large format, will take place on Friday, February 2, at 18:00 hours, and can be visited until February 15, Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

Javier Melús (Tudela, 1961), is a contemporary Spanish artist known for his Pop Art style and his ironic and colorful works, a reflection of his life with influences from advertising, fashion, urban art, comics, television, graphic design, music and, of course, countless Pop culture icons. Everything is processed and captured in his creations. Paintings with a great visual charge in which irony, humor and ambiguity are very present. There is no particular message in them, the everyday is what really matters, and the viewer is really the one who has to interpret what he sees.

Javier Melús takes emblematic elements of popular culture and redefines them in his work, injecting a new energy and visual appeal into his images, which are familiar and recognizable. His work is not only aimed at art connoisseurs, but also at all types of audiences. His work is accessible and easy to understand, which has made him one of the most sought after Pop Art artists.

The work of Javier Melús is emotional, vibrant, and always surprising. His creations are a reflection on art in the digital age and a tribute to the icons of contemporary culture, managing to capture the Pop Art style in an authentic and personal way.

Now, after several years of national and international exhibitions and fairs, his work is present in more than 20 countries.
