The Estepona City Council informs that next Thursday, February 1, at 18.00 hours, will take place at the Casa de Las Tejerinas the presentation of the first book by Juan Diego Gil Contreras, ‘La quinta luna’.
Published last summer, the story of this novel takes place in Paris, in the 20’s. Brigitte falls in love with Todd, a Scotsman with whom everything seems to go smoothly. But Todd hides a secret, which will be revealed when the couple moves to Scotland. There, Brigitte suffers a series of episodes in which something unknown visits her at night.
From then on, she will try to get to the bottom of it to solve the enigma in which old family debts are mixed with a fantastic being with whom she will have to face, and whose existence is known to everyone but her.
Juan Diego Gil Contreras, born in Malaga, 49 years old, and an architect by profession, has been passionate about writing since childhood. Instead of drawing, he preferred to write stories to entertain his friends in class. Over time, the need to express himself through literature became stronger and he began to write a novel, still unfinished. But his most official approach to the world of literature has been through a creative writing course he took 3 years ago and since then he has not stopped.
He has participated with stories in various publications, such as the cultural magazine Fanzine de Carboneras, Almeria, has published in writing blogs and has won the micro-story contest in 2023 promoted by the Official College of Architects of Malaga. He has just published his first work, ‘La quinta luna’, and is in the process of finalizing a second work, which he hopes to publish in 2024.
