The City Council launches a guardianship and custody service for minors between 6 and 16 years of age and a training plan for men in matters of conciliation and co-responsibility.
The City Council has received a grant of more than 170,000 euros from the Junta de Andalucía to develop these reconciliation programs.
The deputy mayor of the Sociocultural Area, Paula Herrera, and the representative of the Training Academy ECOS Group, Susana Ledesma, today presented the ‘Co-responsible Plan’, a service of guardianship and custody of children between 6 and 16 years and a training plan for men in matters of reconciliation and co-responsibility, aimed at families with difficulty in reconciling their family life and / or work, which will begin next June 14.
As explained by the mayor, for this project the City Council has received a grant of 173,844 euros from the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality of the Junta de Andalucía to develop programs to reconcile families with children.
This regional aid is part of the 2023/2024 Corresponsables Plan that the Ministry of Social Inclusion launched last year to promote the reconciliation of families with children and young people up to 16 years of age, from an approach of equality between women and men; create quality employment in the care sector; and dignify and certify the professional experience of non-formal care.
In addition, the municipal responsible has specified that the two projects to be carried out by the Consistory with this grant, during the coming months, are a ‘Guardianship and custody service for family reconciliation’ and ‘Training plans in co-responsibility and care’ for men.
The deputy mayor of the Sociocultural area, Paula Herrera, has highlighted the involvement of the City Council of Estepona with equality and shared responsibility between men and women, and stressed that many families will benefit from the actions promoted through the Plan Corresponsables 2023/2024.
For its part, the representative of the ECOS Group Training Academy, Susana Ledesma, has reported that the first of the actions includes actions for professional care for families with children between 6 and 16 years of age with the aim of facilitating family reconciliation appropriate to the real needs of the municipality, as well as training and participatory workshops through the following actions: youth space, recreational and participatory activities, training and participatory activity ‘Personal growth for all’, and a series of talks. On the other hand, training activities for co-responsibility and conciliation aimed at men will be carried out.
The ‘Plan de Corresponsables’ is aimed at families with lack of resources who must be registered in the town. Those interested may formalize the registration form, completely free of charge, until June 19 at the facilities of the Training Academy ECOS Group, the company awarded for the development of these plans, located on the street Las Camelias, with telephone: 952 80 51 64.
