The City Council organizes a Solidarity Night Market in Cancelada for the Asociación Frente Bolillón

In this charitable activity, which will take place on Friday, June 21, neighbors or groups may sell items they have at home and are in good condition. Registrations are open and can be formalized in the mayor’s office of Cancelada.

The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano; the deputy mayor of the Extraradio area, Begoña Ortiz; and the vice president of the association Frente Bolillón, Juan Carlos Aragón, today presented a new edition of the Solidarity Night Market, to be held the neighborhood in Cancelada on Friday, June 21.

On this occasion the funds raised will go to the campaign ‘No Child Without a Toy’, through which this association every Christmas distributes gifts to about 300 families with economic difficulties in Estepona, Casares and Manilva.

The mayor has highlighted the charitable nature of this municipal initiative and encouraged individuals and groups to collaborate with this cause, through the placement of a stand where they can sell their products or also with their assistance, since both the proceeds from registrations and with the drinks in the solidarity bar will go to Frente Bolillón.

In addition, García Urbano has valued the “great solidarity and altruistic work” that has been carried out for three decades by the association ‘Frente Bolillón’, offering help to people and entities that need it most.

The Deputy Mayor of Extrarradio, Begoña Ortiz and Juan Carlos Aragón explained that the Solidarity Night Market will be held in the Plaza José Vázquez Espinosa in which, upon registration, individuals and groups will have access to a certain space where they can set up a stall and sell those items that have disused at home and which can be given a useful life. The objects must be in good condition and in proper working order.

The registration fee to participate with a stand is 10 euros. The registration period will remain open until the day of the event. There will also be a solidarity bar managed by the association ‘Frente Bolillón’.

The Market will open its doors at 19.00 hours, at 19.30 hours will be offered an exhibition of the Municipal Dance Therapy Workshop directed by Inmaculada Chacón, at 20.30 hours it will be the turn of the school ‘Solo Flamenco’ by Ana Guerrero and at 21.30 hours will perform Juanjo Alcántara and his flamenco group.
