The City Council organizes the ‘First Workshop: Anxiety and Healthy Habits’ for adults
The training will be held on February 26 and 27, from 10:00 to 12:00 hours, at the Mayor’s Office of Cancelada. Attendance is free and prior registration is required.
The City Council of Estepona informs that it will carry out the ‘First Workshop: anxiety and healthy habits’, aimed at adults, which will take place in the Mayor’s Office of Cancelada.
The training, which will be held on 26 and 27 February from 10.00 to 12.00 hours in the multipurpose room of the Tenencia, in Montemayor Street, 54, has a dual purpose. On the one hand, to know what anxiety is, the factors that can cause it and how to combat it. On the other hand, to recognize the aspects that determine a healthy lifestyle and its emotional impact.
The workshop will address various contents such as: What is anxiety? Fear; the amygdala (limbic system) and emotions; how neuronal networks work. Learning to identify negative automatic thoughts and how to reconvert them into positive thoughts; the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system; self-esteem; breathing techniques (yawning, breath, abdominal and bee breathing); and learning to plan with short goals.
As for training on healthy habits, the following contents are planned: healthy eating; how to organize schedules and tasks; sleep, prevention of insomnia; physical exercise; collaborating in household chores; social networks and addiction prevention; and prevention of drug use.
