The City Council recognizes the 19 best high school students of Estepona in the XI Awards for Educational Excellence

This municipal initiative, endowed with 7,500 euros, recognizes the students who have obtained the best grades in the different educational centers of the city.

The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, today presented the XI Awards for Educational Excellence for high school students from six schools in the city.

The alderman has pointed out that this municipal initiative is intended to recognize the effort made by young people who have obtained the best grades in the last year of high school.

The first mayor has indicated that the new generations must be committed to the society in which they have grown up and that they must give the maximum of themselves in the different academic and professional stages they undertake. “You are the future and you have to be as prepared as possible so that your environments move forward and are spaces where values and professionalism have an absolute protagonism,” said García Urbano.

These awards are endowed with a total of 7,500 euros. In these awards have participated all students enrolled in the course 2023/2024 in second year of Bachillerato of the centers IES Mar de Alborán, IES Monterroso, IES Mediterráneo, Colegio Patrocinio San José, Colegio Atalaya and Colegio Diocesano Juan XXIII.
