The City Council tenders the works for the replacement of the artificial turf at the Muñoz Pérez Soccer Stadium.

The execution period for the works, once awarded to the corresponding company, has been set at three weeks.
The Estepona City Council has put out to tender the works for the replacement of the turf of the Muñoz Pérez Football Stadium, an intervention that will be developed during a maximum period of three weeks with the idea of not interfering in the competitions and sporting events that take place in the enclosure.
Located in the extension of the Avenida Juan Carlos I, the sports complex has a total area of 20,200 square meters and within it is the soccer field, which has dimensions of 109×75 meters, approximately.
The base budget for the tender, which has been set at 239,778 euros (including VAT), includes all the work necessary for the complete replacement of the artificial turf, the repair of the irrigation system, as well as the removal and subsequent installation of the existing sports equipment.
In principle, all the sports equipment and perimeter drainage channel grids will be dismantled, then the surface elastic load of the field will be sieved and cleaned so that the filling that is in good condition can be reused, followed by the dismantling and removal of the artificial turf currently installed and the repair of 300 square meters of the elastic base. Finally, the new artificial turf made of polyethylene fibers will be laid, and equipment and gutters will be replaced.
All the dimensions of the 11-a-side and 7-a-side soccer fields will be made in accordance with the NIDE standards of the Consejo Superior de Deportes and the standards of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (Royal Spanish Football Federation). Likewise, the turf will have to be adapted to the existing irrigation and protection net posts.
The work is scheduled to be carried out during the month of August.
