The city of Estepona celebrates the bicentenary of the creation of the National Police.
The city of Estepona will host commemorative events on the occasion of the bicentenary of the creation of the National Police. Thus, the Commissioner, Head of the Local Police Station of Estepona National Police, Mr. Santos Lázaro Martín, will preside, with the presence of the Mayor of Estepona, Mr. José María García Urbano, the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the National Police to be held this Saturday, January 13, at the traffic circle of the European Union, at 11:45 am.
During the same, will proceed to the raising of the national flag, the speech of authorities and the act ‘in memoriam’ to police officers killed in the line of duty.
This public event is open to all citizens and will include representatives of the municipal Corporation and the social fabric of Estepona.
Likewise, during the afternoon-evening of the same day, the emblematic buildings of the municipality, including the local police station itself, will be illuminated in blue, in honor of this institution.
The next day, January 14, officers of the National Police will proceed to perform a kick of honor in the soccer match to be held between Club Deportivo Estepona and Yeclano Deportivo. It will be at 13:00 hours, at the Municipal Football Stadium Francisco Muñoz Pérez.
