The Estepona Athletics Stadium will host two competitions of the highest Andalusian level that will bring together around 1,500 athletes.

The municipality will host on Saturday May 25 the Andalusian Championship U-14 and Relay 4×80, and on June 1 and 2, the Andalusian Championship Outdoor Masters
The councilman attached to the delegation of Sport, Luis Gil, and the president of the Andalusian Athletics Federation, Enrique Lopez Cuenca, have presented two new competitions that for the fourth consecutive year will be held in the Athletics Stadium in Estepona.
These are two athletics events of the highest level, the Championship of Andalusia Clubs U-14 and Relay 4×80, which will take place this Saturday, May 25, and the Andalusian Championship Outdoor Masters, which will take place on 1 and 2 June. Both will bring together about 1,500 athletes from different parts of Andalusia.
Regarding the Andalusian Championship of Clubs U-14 and Relays 4×80, will have the participation of 28 women’s teams and 14 men; and in relays will be 30 women’s clubs and 20 men. It will take place from 16.30 to 21.30 hours and the events to be held will be the following, for both categories, male and female:
– Races (80, 150, 500, 1,000 and 3,000 meters flat, 80 and 220 meters hurdles, 1,000 hurdles and 2,000 walking)
– Jumping (high jump, pole vault, long jump and triple jump).
– Throws (shot put, discus, javelin and hammer)
– Relays (4X80)
On the other hand, the Outdoor Masters Championship will be held from 16.00 to 23.00 hours on June 1, and from 09.30 to 16.30 hours on June 2. In this competition Estepona will be represented by a dozen local athletes who in the last edition of 2023 obtained more than twenty medals.
Both competitions are organized by the Andalusian Athletics Federation with the collaboration of the City Council and the Estepona Athletics Club.
