The prestigious Moldovan company ‘International Ballet Company’ will present Tchaikovsky’s famous work on Friday, December 8, at 8:00 p.m., with soloists Cristina Terentiev and Alexandru Balan.
The City Council of Estepona reports that the International Ballet Company of Moldova will present at the Felipe VI Auditorium the work ‘Sleeping Beauty’ by Piotr Tchaikovsky, with soloists Cristina Terentiev and Alexandru Balan. The performance will take place next Friday, December 8, at 8:00 pm.
The acclaimed Moldavian company is made up of soloists from Moldova, Ukraine and Italy, among other countries. As part of its Winter Tour 2023, it invites us to enjoy one of the most emblematic works of the classical ballet repertoire. The work and effort dedicated for a long time have made this project culminate in a company where a refined technique and an excellent dramatic interpretation, give life to the most famous choreographies and scores of classical ballet.
Synopsis: At the court of King Florestan, the christening of Princess Aurora is celebrated, the Fairy Lila and other fairies have been invited, except the Fairy Carabosse, whom Cantalabutte, the master of ceremonies has forgotten to invite. Outraged, Carabosse casts an evil spell, “When the Princess turns 16, she will prick herself with the needle of a spinning wheel and sleep for 100 years.” The spell is broken when the Fairy Lila tells Prince Desiré what happened and he kisses Aurora. To celebrate the wedding between Aurora and Desiré, joyful festivities are prepared where characters from well-known fairy tales will dance.
