The Municipal Climbing Wall will host this weekend the Andalusian Cup and the Andalusian Championship of Difficulty Climbing.

The event is organized by the Estepona Mountain Group (GRUME) and the Andalusian Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking (FADMES), in collaboration with the City Council. The deadline for registration is today

The Estepona City Council informs that the next 11 and 12 October will be held in the municipal climbing wall the Andalusian Championship Climbing Difficulty, coinciding with the second scoring test of the Andalusian Cup.

The test is organized by the Estepona Mountain Group, GRUME, and the Andalusian Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking (FADMES), with the collaboration of the City of Estepona.

The competition will take place in the facilities of the Municipal Rock Climbing Centre of Estepona, located in the Fair and Sports Grounds (Saturday, from 08:00 to 22:00 hours, and Sunday, from 07:45 to 17:30 hours).

The test is open to categories U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U19 and Absolute, Promotion and Veteran. Being mandatory the use of helmets, the categories U15, U17, U19, Absolute, Promotion and Veteran will participate in flash and sight, while the U9, U11 and U13 will use the climbing mode in Top Rope, to carry out the ascent of the proposed routes.

To qualify for the podium and score in the accumulated Andalusian Cup, participants must be in possession of the annual license in force FADMES or FEDME. To qualify for the final classification of the Andalusian Championship, the participant must be in possession of the annual license in force FADMES or FEDME processed by the Andalusian Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking.

In addition, all persons registered with annual federal license and residing in the Province of Malaga or processed by a Club of the Province of Malaga, will be registered in the Climbing Championship of Difficulty in School Age of the Province of Malaga, which will also be held in parallel.
