The musician Alberto Rama will show the key to musical improvisation in a Conference-Show at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center.
The free event will take place next Friday, June 14 with free admission until full capacity is reached.
Estepona City Council informs that the Argentine musician Alberto Rama will offer next Friday, June 14, at 20.00 pm at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel, the Conference-Show ‘Anything I can make a song. And so can you’.
Musical improvisation is the art of creating and performing music that has not been previously written and that arises spontaneously through a series of material. On this basis, the pianist will base his performance on three points: “I can make a song out of anything”, “Anyone can compose a song, whether they know music or not” and “Looking for possible composers among the audience”.
Admission to the event will be free, until full capacity is reached.
Alberto Rama. Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1943. He studied piano at the Conservatorio Municipal Manuel de Falla in the city of Buenos Aires. At the age of 11 he begins to compose, stimulated by his own classmates. At the age of 45 he self-taught himself the study of the bandoneon, which he later perfected with some of the best masters of that instrument. His lecture-recital ‘El tango y el bandoneón’ was presented at universities, athenaeums, associations and cultural centers in many European and South American countries.
He is the author and composer of more than 4,000 songs, including 5 unpublished ones dedicated to Estepona, where he lived between 1999 and 2010.
Alberto met his wife Radka in Estepona in 2002 and they decided to form an accordion and bandoneon duo, with which they ‘walk’ their music in different countries of Europe and South America.
