The Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos will host the final of the Peugeot Estepona Billiards League.
Organized by the Blackball Club, in collaboration with the City Council, it will take place on April 19, 20 and 21.
The Estepona City Council informs that the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos will host from April 19 to 21 the final phase of the Peugeot Estepona Billiards League, organized by the Blackball Estepona Billiards Club, in collaboration with the Consistory.
This league is part of the individual and team competitions organized by the Club, and is held in some bars in the town with a participation of over 70 players. It aims to promote coexistence among all participants and enjoy a weekend practicing their favorite sport.
The competition is divided into two phases: regular league and playoffs. The regular league will be a round-robin system, all against all, in order to assign the positions for the final tournament, with a direct KO system in confrontation between two teams, also round-robin.
On the other hand, in the final phase, playoffs at the end of the season, the teams will face each other for the chance to become ‘Champion of the 23/24 League’ and two individual tournaments will also be played, where the winner will also be proclaimed champion of the season.
The different tournaments, both team and individual, will start on Friday 19 at 14.00 hours, and will continue on Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 hours.
Both tournaments will be bonused with different scholarships for the participating players; 75% of the players get cash prizes, more than 2,000 euros, which the Club collects through registrations, lottery sales, advertising from local businesses, etc.
For this end of season 23/24, the Blackball Estepona Billiards Club intends to organize several team matches at national and international level, where teams from Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Denia (Alicante), Gibraltar, among others, will be invited. These days of coexistence will be a window for children participating in this league to meet first hand players of great national level.
