The Provincial Swimming Circuit Diputación de Málaga’24 will come to Estepona this Saturday

The fourth day of the preliminary phase will be held from 10.00 a.m. at the Free Wave Sport Center in Cancelada.

The Estepona City Council informs that next Saturday, July 27, from 10.00 a.m., the fourth and last day of the regular phase of the XXXVIII Provincial Summer Swimming Circuit of the Diputación de Málaga 2024 will be held in the pool of the Free Wave Sport Center (former Polideportivo de Cancelada).

The previous phase of the Circuit began last July 5 in Archidona. In the first test, the Estepona school was represented by nearly thirty children, aged between 7 and 16 years.

This educational and participatory competition is organized by the Diputación de Málaga, the Andalusian Swimming Federation and the municipalities attached to the program, and aims, among others, to strengthen the campaigns and municipal swimming schools in the province.

The swimmers of the Estepona School have won first place in the team category in the last two editions (2022 and 2023) of this Summer Circuit. The Estepona group is made up of fifty students who train daily in the swimming pool of the Santo Tomás de Aquino sports center, who will compete together with the municipalities of Álora, Archidona, Benalmádena, Campillos, Nerja, Torrox and Pizarra.

Participants will have to achieve the best results in the preliminary phase to add the most points with the intention of qualifying for the Provincial Final, scheduled for August 2 at the municipal pool in Nerja.
