The Buddhist nun will give the conference ‘How to manage emotions’ on Wednesday, December 13, at 7:00 pm, with free access until full capacity is reached.
The City Council of Estepona informs that the Buddhist nun Guen Kelsang Chokga will be next Wednesday, December 13 at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel, at 19:00 hours, where she will give the lecture ‘How to manage emotions’.
According to the spiritual director, “learning to manage emotions at different times of our lives is undoubtedly what helps us and others. When we are overwhelmed by disturbing emotions we lose mental clarity, inner peace, we lose control of what is happening, we are uncomfortable and much more sensitive and vulnerable to any event that happens.
The key to managing disturbing emotions is to understand where they arise from and to practice the opponents in our daily life. When we understand the situation from a positive perspective, it is impossible to be ruled by disturbing emotions. At that moment, we will feel an inner strength that comes from our serenity and wisdom.”
Meditation Master Guen Kelsang Chokga is a leading figure in the spiritual community of the New Kadampa Tradition in Spain and Portugal. As resident teacher and national spiritual director of the NKT-IKBU, she has dedicated more than two decades of her life to study and practice under the guidance of the venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Since 1998, he has been an inexhaustible source of wisdom and has shared the profound teachings of the Buddha with unwavering devotion.
Free admission until full capacity is reached.
