Estepona will celebrate Christmas with the celebration of seven flamenco zambombas

The first one will be held tomorrow and the following ones will be on December 5, 6, 12, 13 and 18. They are organized by the City Council, the Brotherhoods of Carmen and El Cautivo and the Estepona Flamenco Association ‘El Patio’.
Estepona City Council reports that from tomorrow Saturday until December 18 will be held a total of seven flamenco zambombas to celebrate Christmas. They will take place in different scenarios and will be organized by the Consistory, the brotherhoods of Our Lady of Carmen and Nuestro Padre Jesus Cautivo and Estepona Flamenco Association ‘El Patio’.
The first to be held will be that of the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Cautivo, which will take place in the street Jesus Cautivo tomorrow Saturday, November 29, at 17.00 hours. Then it’s the turn of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Carmen, which will double, on Friday, December 5, with the performance of ‘El Callejón’ and the choir ‘Dame Tono’; and Saturday, December 6, with Dj Jorge ‘D’Repente Flamenco’ and ‘Al son de Navidad’. Both will take place in the Plaza Antonia Guerrero, from 17.00 hours.
The suburban area will also enjoy two flamenco zambombas organized by the Consistory. The first will be in Cancelada on Friday, December 12, at 18.30 hours. It will be held in Montemayor Street and will be enlivened by the group ‘With sugar and cinnamon’ and the dance academy ‘Solo Flamenco’. There will also be a tasting of Christmas sweets and chestnut toast. The second will take place in Nueva Atalaya on Saturday December 13 at 19.00 hours. In it the choir ‘Canta Marbella’ will perform a repertoire of popular Christmas carols.
On the other hand, on Saturday, December 13, the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses will host a whole show that will begin at 18.00 hours. This is the ‘Zambomba of the Year’ in which the guitarist and composer Daniel Casares, Julian Bedmar, Maloko Soto and Jorge Pardo will perform, accompanied by a cast of artists. Tickets for this event are already on sale.
And finally, on Thursday, December 18, will be held the last zambomba, which is organized by the Estepona Flamenco Association ‘El Patio’, which will present a show with classic and popular carols in different flamenco styles, which will interpret the students of the academy ‘El Patio. Learn to Sing’ directed by Anda Fargas with the collaboration of Paco Javier Jimeno and David Quiros. It will be at 20.00 hours in the Plaza Antonio Gala.
