Estepona’s Plenary unanimously approves to dedicate a public space in the city to the artist Ana Mena

The singer and actress, who was named Favorite Daughter of Estepona in 2020, has achieved one of the most successful musical careers in pop music in our country.

The Plenary of the City Council of Estepona today unanimously approved unanimously to dedicate a public space in the city to Ana Mena, the Estepona artist with greater international projection.

The mayor, José María García Urbano, stressed that “we are all proud of the enormous success that Ana Mena is reaping, and that she proudly carries the name of her city around the world. Therefore, Estepona will always have her in his heart”. The alderman has pointed out that this space will be “an emblematic place of the city, agreed with the artist and her family”.

Singer, composer and actress, Ana Mena has become a reference in pop music in Spain, but also in the music scene in Italy and Latin American countries such as Mexico and Argentina. In addition, she was already named Favorite Daughter of Estepona in 2020.

Born in 1997, Ana Mena began in the world of music and acting as a child, subsequently developing a career that has led her to great stages and projects. She has worked under the orders of Pedro Almodóvar and played the child star Marisol in a successful series. She has also become one of the most loved and admired artists in our country, receiving awards such as the award for Best Song in the Spain category at the Los40 Music Awards or the Medal of Andalusia for Culture and Heritage.

In the list of milestones that make her one of the most successful pop artists of her generation, it is worth mentioning her international tour ‘Bellodrama Tour’, which for two years took her to more than fifty cities in countries like Spain, Mexico or Argentina, or the eleven consecutive months in which she was number 1 in the Italian radio charts for her collaborations with the artist Fred De Palma.

Despite her youth, Ana Mena has already achieved a Gold Record for her album ‘Bellodrama’, and 56 Platinum Discs, 1 Diamond Disc and 12 Gold Discs for singles in different countries in Europe and America, which has led her to be a reference of the most current contemporary music.

The government team has promoted this recognition to Ana Mena from the conviction that the artist will continue to star in important musical and film moments, as evidenced by her recent performance at the Goya awards gala or the success of ‘Idols’, the film that has just been released in theaters and co-starring with actor Oscar Casas.
