Eva Díaz Pérez will offer in Estepona the conference ‘Málaga: the heart of the Generation of 27’.

The writer and journalist will trace the traces of Malaga authors in one of the most influential literary movements of the 20th century.

Estepona City Council informs that the Library of Contemporary Cultures will host next February 25 at 20:00 pm the conference ‘Malaga: the heart of the Generation of 27’, given by the writer and journalist Eva Diaz Perez.

The author, director of the Andalusian Center of Letters and coordinator of the centenary of the Generation of ’27, will offer a tour of the Malaga writers who were part of the Generation of ’27, highlighting the cultural footprint of Malaga within this key movement of Spanish literature of the twentieth century.

Eva Díaz Pérez is the author of novels such as ‘El color de los ángeles’, ‘Adriático’ (Malaga Novel Prize and Andalusia Critics’ Prize), ‘El club de la memoria’ (finalist of the Nadal Prize 2008) or ‘Memoria de cenizas’ (Miguel de Unamuno Prize), among others. He also has an extensive journalistic career in media such as ABC, El País and El Mundo and has received numerous awards for his literary and cultural work.

This activity will be a unique opportunity to approach the legacy of the Generation of ’27 and the prominence of Malaga in one of the most important literary movements of the twentieth century in Spain.
