Gonzalez de Galdeano, who finished second in the Tour de France, analyzes the leadership of nine great cyclists
The City Council of Estepona informs that this Thursday, August 21, at 20.00 hours, will be presented at the Casa de Las Tejerinas the book ‘Yellow Leaders’ by former cyclist and professional consultant Igor Gonzalez de Galdeano.
The former cyclist, who won second place in the Tour de France, will present this work in which he analyzes the leadership of nine cycling legends, including Pantani, Miguel Indurain, Ulrich and Perico Delgado.
González de Galdeano, current CEO of Kirolife, a firm specialized in transferring from sport teachings and useful lessons for private and public organizations, believes that behind the great leaders in any discipline of life there is a common thread with a series of behaviors and skills.
Leader of the Tour de France in 2002, the former Basque cyclist immerses us in the life and professional career of 9 unique cycling figures with the purpose of identifying the pattern of leaders and sharing experiences and competencies under that perspective. The journey through the lights and shadows of the professional and personal careers of these 9 titans who have won at least once in the Tour de France aims to know and share what specific peculiarities have led them to win the best race in the world, each from a unique leadership style.
Igor has extracted and structured very relevant contributions that are very applicable to the world of organizations and to life itself, since the analysis of the decisions and behavior of these great athletes invites us to reflect and understand what virtues they cultivated and also what mistakes we should avoid in order to wear the yellow jersey of life.
After a deep personalized training in management, González de Galdeano addresses from his company topics such as leadership, habit development, resilience or high performance team management.
In 2021 he was distinguished for his “permanent concern, the improvement of his team, the search for professional excellence, the help to others and the spirit of detail” by the Human Resources Forum and in 2023 he was awarded at the XI Congress of the Human Resources and PRL Network, with the prize for the best ‘Spanish Language Leadership Lecturer José María López Puertas’.
