Procession marches are the protagonists of the Estepona Municipal Band’s concert ‘Portico de la Semana Santa’.
The XV Concert ‘Portico de la Semana Santa’ will take place on Saturday 14, at 20:00 pm, in the Auditorio Felipe VI, with free access, prior collection of invitations. It will feature the participation of the Sevillian singer Manuel Cuevas, who will perform a repertoire of saetas.
The Estepona City Council informs that next Saturday, March 14, at 20:00 hours, will take place in the Felipe VI Auditorium the celebration of the XV Concert ‘Portico de la Semana Santa’ which, since 2011, established the artistic department of the Municipal Band of Estepona (BME).
Led by its chief conductor and artistic director, Maestro José Antonio López Camacho, the Municipal Band preludes the Holy Week of Estepona in one of its usual scenarios, with a new concert that will begin with the symphonic poem for band ‘Semana Santa en Málaga’, by Perfecto Artola, composed by the Maestro in 1958. It will end with the procession march ‘Los Estudiantes’ from 2024, by the composer Cristóbal López Gándara.
In addition, the concert will feature the participation of the singer Manuel Cuevas (Osuna, 1977), who will perform a repertoire of saetas.
The event, which will be presented by journalist José Joaquín Sánchez, will have free access until full capacity, after collecting invitations, two per person, at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel, from Monday 9, from 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00 hours.
