Estepona City Council reports that next Thursday 26 March will be held at the Municipal Athletics Stadium the IV Day of Coexistence-Ludic-Sports Foundation Aprona, for people with intellectual disabilities over age of various associations in the province of Malaga and Campo de Gibraltar.
This event is organized by the Foundation for People with Functional Diversity of Estepona, Aprona, with the collaboration of the City of Estepona and Monterroso Secondary School, whose students of the Higher Cycle of Physical Fitness and 2nd Baccalaureate will be responsible for the technical management of the tests, under the technical supervision of teachers of the Institute and staff of the Foundation Aprona. Local schools will also participate as part of the inclusion project.
The non-competitive, recreational event will focus on Adapted Sports, and will start at 10:00 am and end at 3:30 pm, with a paella lunch for all attendees.
The Municipal Athletics Stadium will bring together around 250 people (about 200 athletes with intellectual disabilities associations and fifty students from schools, monitors and volunteers). The day is organized in a circuit of sports stations of medium difficulty, including a motor skills circuit and American track; team sports (adapted soccer, field hockey and other disciplines); cooperative activities (parachute games and group dance); and, as a novelty in 2026, racquet sports stations.
In the three previous editions of this day of inclusive coexistence, in which games and sports serve as a connection, more than a dozen associations participated.
