The Casa de Las Tejerinas will host the abstract painting exhibition of the Mallorcan artist Catalina Juliá.

The pictorial exhibition will be open to the public from February 26 to March 18.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from February 26 an exhibition of abstract painting by the Mallorcan artist based in Estepona, Catalina Juliá.

The exhibition, entitled ‘Living after everything’, consists of almost twenty large-format works, in which color takes center stage, and can be visited until March 18 from Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

Catalina Juliá was born in Campos, Balearic Islands, and lives in Estepona. Her professional career began as an advertising designer.

It has been in painting, where the painter found the catalyst needed to overcome an autoimmune disease that kept her immobilized for months. In the mixture of colors, the use of textures and different techniques, and in abstract art, she found a meaning to continue living.

According to her, “my work is born from the need to transform emotions and internal experiences into images that can be shared. The mixed technique allows me to combine materials, textures and colors in an organic way, letting intuition guide the gesture and the final result. Each piece is a record of the creative moment, a testimony of vulnerability and the strength of living, inviting the viewer to feel rather than understand.
