The City Council begins to create table tennis sports spaces in different parts of the city

A total of eight tennis tables will be installed, five of which have already been installed, while the remaining three are in the process of being installed.

The City Council of Estepona reports that have begun to install sports spaces for table tennis, in particular, there will be eight new spaces for the practice of this modality. As announced by the councilman attached to the delegation of Sports, Luis Gil, for the moment, has proceeded to the placement of five of these tennis tables, which are already being used by users, while the remaining three are in the process of implementation.

The municipal responsible has commented that these new facilities have been located in different locations, such as neighborhood Primavera, Plaza de los Remedios, outside the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel, in the neighborhood Blas Infante-Picasso, in the street Guillermo Cabrera, Cancelada, Barrio Solis and Plaza Juanito Valderrama.

The mayor explained that these are eight anti-vandal tennis tables forte, blue, which have a structure, legs and thermoplastic network and a board of 55 millimeters. Each one of them has the corresponding certification according to current standards.

Luis Gil has reported that this action has involved an investment of 15,439.69 euros (VAT included) and has highlighted the many benefits of practicing this sport for people of any age as it is a low-impact sport that tones muscles without damaging joints, dramatically improves hand-eye coordination, reflexes and mental agility. It is also an excellent cardiovascular exercise, reduces stress and improves cognitive health.

Luis Gil has stated that the City Council will continue working to promote the practice of sports, with the intention that the neighbors practice sports for free in different areas of the municipality because “sport and physical exercise are key to improving the quality of life of people.
