The City Council drafts the projects of the last three stretches of the coastal corridor

The proposed path projects run through Isdabe/Atalaya, Guadalmina Baja/Casasola and Costa Natura.

The Estepona City Council reports that it has drafted the projects of the last three sections that are pending for the full completion of the coastal corridor.

The deputy mayor of the area of Development, Infrastructure and Tourism (FIT), Ana Velasco, explained that the Consistory has completed the path projects proposed for the areas of Isdabe / Atalaya, Guadalmina Baja / Casasola and Costa Natura.

The municipal responsible has indicated that the municipal projects have already been sent to the Department of Sustainability and Environment to be studied and authorized, after the mandatory reports of the Coastal Demarcation. Once they have the favorable reports of the technicians of the regional administration, the City Council may tender the works for the execution of the same.

In the documentation submitted to the Junta de Andalucía, the Consistory has delivered the basic project, report justifying the works, detailed plans, technical reports, budgets and photographic information, among other documents.

Velasco has indicated that, once these works are awarded and completed in the three sections that are pending, the coastal corridor project will be completed after being united the 23 kilometers of coastline of Estepona.

The coastal corridor is a strategic infrastructure for sustainable mobility, tourism and environmental protection that seeks to connect the entire coastline of the municipality. The different sections that have been executed and those pending approval guarantee the protection of the maritime-terrestrial public domain, while allowing pedestrians and cyclists to pass through.
