The City Council will recognize the Spanish Association Against Cancer and Caritas volunteer Julio Perez in the XX ‘Estepona Social and Solidarity’ Awards.

The awards ceremony, which each year highlights the humanitarian work of groups and individuals in the city, will take place on Monday, December 1.

The Estepona City Council will recognize this year the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of Estepona and Caritas volunteer Julio Perez Santander in the XX Awards ‘Estepona Social and Solidarity’.

With these awards the Consistory recognizes each year the work done in the social field by groups and individuals who serve the most vulnerable people. These awards are granted through a voting system carried out by volunteers from different associations and charities that are part of the Local Council of Volunteering, thus reinforcing the participatory and community nature of these awards.

The Estepona City Council, through the municipal delegation of Citizen Participation, has announced the resolution of the jury highlighting the granting of the awards, which will be presented next Monday December 1, in its two modalities.

In individual modality the award goes to Julio Perez Santander, Caritas volunteer, of whom the jury has highlighted his selfless dedication, his continued support to the most vulnerable people and his commitment as a Caritas volunteer, where he develops a fundamental work that reflects the values of solidarity and service to the community.

For its part, the AECC of Estepona has been distinguished for its important collective work in the care of patients and families, its involvement in cancer prevention and its continuous promotion of programs and activities that strengthen the solidarity network of the municipality.

The official awards ceremony will take place on December 1, at 7:00 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Mirador del Carmen, where all the award winners will be honored.
