The municipal program ‘Active Seniors: Healthy Living’ continues its activities focused on improving the quality of life of this group.

During the last few days the users have carried out the traditional healthy walks and a trip to Teba, as well as cultural activities such as a guided visit to the exhibition ‘Jorge Reynardus Collection’ or a convivial breakfast on the occasion of the Day of Andalusia.
The Estepona City Council reports that the municipal program ‘Active Seniors: Healthy Living’ continues with its agenda of activities aimed at promoting healthy active aging, improving the quality of life and physical and mental well-being of this group.
The councilman attached to the area of Elderly, Daniel García Ramos, has reported that in recent days the users of this program have participated in the traditional and successful healthy walks that take place on Mondays and Fridays and have the collaboration of Frutas Acosta, which delivers pieces of fruit to all attendees. In addition, a group of fifty seniors have made a trip to the town of Teba in Malaga, where they have been received by the mayor and have visited the archaeological museum and the Castillo de la Estrella, among other points of interest.
Also, as explained by the municipal responsible, cultural activities have also been organized as a guided tour of the exhibition Art-Collection Jorge Reynardus, which is exhibited in the Casa de las Tejerinas, and which will be attended by the author himself who will offer a detailed explanation of the sample. Also on Friday and on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Andalusia will be offered a breakfast of coexistence.
Moreover, for the coming months has prepared a varied agenda that will feature a course of digital certificate, yoga classes adapted, guided tours of municipal museums and other activities that we will report.
In this way, the mayor has stated that a complete program of physical, cognitive, social and cultural activities has been designed to prevent social isolation, promote personal autonomy and improve the quality of life.
This action has strengthened the care and municipal services that have been offered to seniors in the city, in addition to reaffirming the commitment of the government team with active aging policies, promoting meeting spaces that reinforce the integration and vitality of the elderly.
In addition, the Geriatric Cabinet offers other weekly activities such as the Memory Workshop, Art Therapy, Numbers Workshop, Letter Workshop, Recipes and Dictionary of Estepona and Reading Club.
