Nature photographer Andoni Canela presents the book ‘Territorio Lobo. Portrait of the wolf in Spain and Portugal’ at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center.
The event, which will include a screening and discussion with Antonio Pulido Pastor and the author, will take place on Saturday 21 at 12.00 noon. Access is free until full capacity is reached
The Estepona City Council informs that the photojournalist, writer, documentarian and reporter from Navarre Andoni Canela will present the book ‘Territorio Lobo. Portrait of the wolf in Spain and Portugal’. It will be at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center at 12.00 noon, with free access until full capacity is reached.
The event, organized by the Collective PhotoEstepona, the Andalusian Federation of Photography and the Spanish Confederation of Photography, with the collaboration of the City Council, includes the projection of an audiovisual with images about the wolf in Spain and Portugal and a talk-colloquium between Andoni Canela and Antonio Pulido Pastor, forestry engineer and coordinator of the conference on wolf in Solana del Pino, Sierra Morena, for ten years.
After 30 years photographing the wolf, always in its environment and in freedom, Andoni Canela gathers in this book unpublished images of wolves taken on the Atlantic coast, the Pyrenees, the Cantabrian mountain range, the Guadarrama, Peneda-Gerês and Culebra mountain ranges, the Castilian cereal plain and the mountains of León, Galicia and Portugal.
Territorio Lobo. Portrait of the wolf in Spain and Portugal’ has a prologue by Juan Carlos Blanco, with the participation of Pedro Alonso, Francisco Álvares, David Álvarez, Yolanda Cortés, Gabriel Lampregave, Antonio Pulido, Alejandro Ruiz and Javier Talegón.
Andoni Canela has been a photographer and documentary filmmaker for 30 years, specializing in nature and endangered species. He has published more than a dozen books on wolves, lynxes, bears, imperial eagles and big cats. He is the director of the documentary and series Panteras.
