The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 2 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next Thursday, January 16, an exhibition of paintings by the artist Juanma Parra Moreno ‘Párramo’.
The pictorial exhibition, entitled ‘The Awakening’, is composed of 11 large format works of various techniques and themes, including the seven wonders of the modern world, such as the Taj Mahal Palace, the ruins of Machu Picchu, the Colosseum in Rome, or the Great Wall of China, among others.
The exhibition can be visited until January 29th from Tuesday to Friday, from 09.00 to 20.00 hours; and Saturdays, from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 20.00 hours, with free access.
Juanma Parra Moreno ‘Párramo’ is a painter from Ronda. He considers his work as a poetic proposal of reality. “It attracts his mastery and structural and conceptual complexity of an aesthetic only comparable to that of Leonardo”. The artist obtains from immobile and solid objects an expression of movement, of becoming and, in short, of life. “The work of art is a testimony of lived reality, interpreted, it is the intervention of thought in art. Color and matter, drawing, geometry, which transform reality, creating reliefs, volumes and a broad handling of light. He is an artist with an exceptional technique, with a fertile mind, with a wealth of ideas and mastery, but with a great special sensitivity and magic. His colors are intense, pure, harmonized in a balanced way and with an important rhythm of composition”.
Among his many exhibitions, the following stand out: Ronda 1973; Ronda 1975; Málaga Galería Picasso 1978; Marbella 1983; Béjar: Sala de Exposiciones obra social Salamanca y Soria 1993; Marbella: Hotel El Fuerte 2001; Ronda: Unicaja Obra Social 2003; Ronda: Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos 2013. In addition, he has made numerous architectural designs throughout the Costa del Sol.
