City Council organizes a conference to raise awareness of career opportunities in the hospitality industry
On Wednesday, May 7, at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos from 11 a.m. with free admission until full capacity is reached.
The Estepona City Council informs that the municipal delegation of Social Services and Social Integration has organized on May 7 an event aimed at exploring the opportunities for development and professional growth offered by the hotel sector, both in our tourist destination and globally. For this purpose, Kempinski Hotel Bahía G.L. will collaborate with the event.
The councilor of the Department of Social Services and Social Integration, María Aguilar, explained that the event will offer an overview of the advantages of this industry for those seeking a career with projection, the real possibilities for job placement and the development of professional skills.
The main conference will be given by Pedro Hidalgo, director of Human Resources at the Kempinski Hotel Bahía G.L., who will address key aspects such as the preparation to enter the sector, as well as the different ways of growth and promotion within it.
The event will begin at 11:00 am with a presentation of the Employment Guidance Service of the Estepona City Council by Blanca Partal Orcazarán, focusing on the importance of establishing professional goals and the municipal resources available to support the active search for employment.
At 11:45 am the conference “The hotel sector: a great opportunity for business development” will take place. In addition, practical information will be offered on how to send applications and resumes to possible vacancies within the Kempinski company.
This activity is proposed as the beginning of a series of workshops and conferences aimed at bringing the local business network to job seekers, promoting knowledge of key sectors for the economic development of the area and expanding their professional horizons.
The event will be held in the conference room of the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Estepona and is open to all those interested in attending. From the Estepona City Council we also encourage companies in the area to collaborate in future editions, by contacting our Employment Guidance Service.
