The Cine-Club screens ‘Freud’s Last Session’, the story of the alleged meeting between the father of psychoanalysis and the writer C. S. Lewis.

The film will be screened on Thursday, June 5, at 8:00 p.m., in the original version in English with Spanish subtitles, with free access.
The Estepona City Council informs that the Cine-Club of the delegation of Culture ends the spring cycle with the screening of ‘Freud’s Last Session’, a USA-UK co-production of 2023, directed by Matt Brown, and starring Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Goode.
The story chronicles the alleged meeting between Sigmund Freud and Oxford University critic, writer and academic C. S. Lewis, where they debate the question of the existence of God.
Synopsis: Set on the eve of World War II and towards the end of his life, Freud invites iconic author C.S. Lewis to a debate on the existence of God. Exploring Freud’s unique relationship with his lesbian daughter Anna and Lewis’ unconventional romance with his best friend’s mother, the film weaves together past, present and fantasy.
The screening, not recommended for children under 12, will be on Thursday, June 5, at 8:00 p.m., at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel, in the original version in English with Spanish subtitles, with free admission until full capacity is reached.
