The mayor of Estepona visits the immersive exhibition Van Gogh ‘Greatest Hits’.

More than 40 projectors and a multi-screen system make the visitor feel as if he is being introduced into Van Gogh’s work. The Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos of Estepona hosts this exhibition until September 21.

The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, today visited the exhibition Van Gogh ‘Greatest Hits’, an immersive exhibition that allows viewers to immerse themselves in the canvases of this great artist.

The exhibition, which has just opened, takes a journey through the work and life of this painter whose life was marked by suffering, madness and an intense search for beauty in a world full of pain. Through this unique experience, visitors will be able to feel Van Gogh’s anguish and passion, going through an emotional journey that will allow them to experience art from a completely new perspective, as if they were inside the paintings of a man who captured his deepest emotions in every stroke and color.

This is an exhibition exclusively updated and adapted to the Estepona Exhibition and Congress Center, as the company responsible for the activity incorporates new elements and technological innovations for each city.

Also thanks to the collaboration of the City Council and the organizing company, starting next week, about 700 students of 5th grade of primary school in Estepona will visit for free this incredible exhibition, which offers educational content, facts and curiosities about the life of the author, an artist appreciated only after his death, whose works are among the most expensive in the world.

In addition, the general public will be able to enjoy more than 1,000 references of Van Gogh’s paintings; curious details of the painter’s biography and heritage; his habits, secrets, oddities, fears and desires; how his art captures a life full of suffering, madness, mysticism and melancholy; creative twists, perceptions and senses of the artist; a more modern vision of his best-known and most expensive works; and an innovative world of images, sounds, emotions and colors.

The exhibition will remain open at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos of Estepona until September 21 with special prices for those registered in the town.

The Digital Art 360 technology creates a unique experience, making the viewer feel as if they were inside the paintings. In addition, to make the paintings come to life in an even more impressive way, advanced technologies such as kinetics, holographic, 3D and morphing are incorporated, transforming the paintings into dynamic and interactive elements, providing a multi-sensory and profoundly innovative experience.

To this end, the exhibition transforms the surfaces of the room into virtual canvases. The paintings come to life through projections up to six meters high, accompanied by a careful soundtrack, guide visitors through an unforgettable cultural experience in which there is no shortage of Starry Night, Sunflowers, Almond Blossom or Self-Portrait.
