Málaga CF general manager and ex-football player Ben Barek, protagonists of the ‘1st Motivation and Sport Meeting’ organized by the City Council

They will hold a talk open to the public in which they will address key topics such as effort, leadership and the importance of sports in personal development.

The event will take place on Monday, June 16 at 20.15 pm at the Mirador del Carmen.

The Estepona City Council has launched, through the Youth Delegation, the program ‘Encounters with Motivation’, with the aim of generating spaces for inspiration, reflection and connection between referents and citizenship. In its first edition, these meetings will be focused on the world of sport and will feature two prominent representatives of Malaga Football Club, an entity with which, in this way, the city strengthens ties. The club’s general manager, Enrique Pérez, and former player and Malaguista legend Ben Barek will hold an open talk with the participation of the public in which they will address, through their testimonies, key issues such as effort, leadership, self-improvement and the importance of sport in personal development.

“In this edition we dive into the world of sport, focusing on soccer as a universal language full of values and opportunities for youth,” explains the councilor attached to the Youth area, Julia Simón.

The meeting will take place next Monday, June 16, at 20.15 hours, in the Auditorium of the Cultural Center Mirador del Carmen. Admission is free.

This meeting, emphasizes Simon, “also aims to strengthen ties between Malaga Football Club and the city of Estepona, promoting a partnership to support local young talent”. This is the beginning of an ongoing relationship, in which sport acts as a vehicle for social and personal development.

As a token of gratitude for their participation, the Estepona City Council will present a commemorative plaque to both Enrique Perez and Abdallah Ben Barek, in recognition of their commitment to youth and their contribution to this motivational cycle.

During this meeting, footballs will be signed.
