Estepona to host an outdoor exhibition of the renowned illustrator Coco Dávez
The works represent the figure of some of the icons of the 20th century such as Picasso, David Bowie or Camarón without showing their faces and are part of the ‘Faceless’ project, which has already toured cities such as London and Hong Kong.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on June 27th and the artist will be accompanied by the couturier Palomo Spain, the art gallery owner Topacio Fresh and the singer Soleá Morente, who will offer a concert.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that the illustrator Coco Dávez will present her exhibition ‘Faceless’ in the city on June 27th. The exhibition will include 17 works in which there will be paintings made exclusively for the exhibition in Estepona. This project by Coco Dávez stands out for the use of color and shapes to capture the essence of each character. It is a collection of portraits in which the face does not appear, but the figures of the characters are perfectly recognizable. Thus, several iconic figures of the 20th century are represented, such as Pablo Picasso, David Bowie or Chiquito de la Calzada, among others.
The exhibition, which includes works made exclusively for this occasion, will be exhibited outdoors, specifically on Terraza Street, and can be visited from June 27 to September 15. With this exhibition Estepona joins cities such as London or Hong Kong that have also hosted the Faceless project previously.
Coco Dávez will be accompanied at the opening of her exhibition next Friday, June 27th at 20:00 hours, by the Cordovan couturier Palomo Spain, the art gallery owner Topacio Fresh and the singer Soleá Morente, who will later (at 23:00 hours) will offer an open-air concert next to the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center.

Valeria Palmeiro, known as Coco Dávez, is an artist from Madrid who has developed her career in different fields: painting, photography and art direction.
Her colorful universe has led her to collaborate with major brands such as Shiseido, Netflix, Dior or Prada, among others.
Her works have been exhibited in cities such as London, Hong Kong, Paris, Miami, Lisbon, Barcelona, Madrid or Santiago de Chile.
Forbes magazine has chosen her on several occasions as a reference in the art world.
