Estepona hosts the Costa del Sol Gran Fondo 2025: sport and tourism in a top-level event

The international cycling tour will be held on October 18 and will travel through the spectacular landscapes of Sierra Bermeja and several municipalities in the interior of Malaga

The Estepona City Council informs that the city of Estepona will host on October 18 one of the most important cycling events in the national calendar: the Costa del Sol Gran Fondo 2025, an international cycling tour that will turn the town into the epicenter of sport and active tourism.

Starting and finishing in the heart of Estepona, the event will be held on October 18 and will travel through the spectacular landscapes of the Sierra Bermeja and various municipalities in the interior of Malaga, combining natural beauty with a high-level sporting challenge. With a route of 127 kms and 3400m positive, it will value not only the environmental surroundings of the area, but also its cultural richness and its tourist offer, consolidating the municipality as a reference destination for cycling and sustainable sport.

The Costa del Sol Gran Fondo will start and finish at the Fair, Sports and Leisure Center of Estepona and will cross the municipalities of Casares, Gaucín, Cortes de la Frontera, Jimera de Líbar, Benadalid, Algatocín and Genalguacil, with the mythical ascent to Peñas Blancas as the final climax, before descending to Estepona and completing the 127 kms.

The event, organized by the specialized company Terraincognita Sport, expects to gather thousands of participants and accompanying persons, generating a significant economic impact in the region.

As ambassador of the event, the organization will count on the professional cyclist Natalia Fischer, national champion and resident of Estepona, whose sporting career and links with the town perfectly embody the values of the race: passion, effort and overcoming.

The Costa del Sol Gran Fondo will not only attract national and international cyclists, but will also promote the local business network, the visibility of the city in specialized media and the positioning of Estepona as a venue for major sporting events.
