The City Council programs for this summer 11 dance shows of the schools and workshops in Estepona
The Plaza Antonia Guerrero, El Calvario Park, Plaza del Reloj, Parque Orquidario and Plaza de la Juventud, in Cancelada, will be the dance stages for the performances of the summer nights.
The City Council of Estepona reports that different public spaces, such as the Plaza Antonia Guerrero, El Calvario Park, the Plaza del Reloj, the Botanical Orchid Park or the Plaza de la Juventud, in Cancelada, will be the scene, throughout the summer, of the dance performances framed in the program of the ‘Cultural Summer 2023’.
These performances will be in charge of the dance students of the various municipal academies and schools in the city.
From July 11 to September 5 will be a total of eleven free performances, which will begin at 21:30 hours:
– SPANISH DANCE AND FLAMENCO. Tuesday, July 11, in the Plaza Antonia Guerrero and Thursday, July 27, in the Plaza de la Juventud, in Cancelada: performance by students of the Spanish Dance and Flamenco Classroom of the municipal delegation of Culture, directed by Lourdes Barrientos, and the Ballet and Modern Dance Classroom of Lourdes Bazán, director of the School of Flamenco de Andalucía, (EFA).
– FLAMENCO AND MODERN DANCE. Tuesday, July 18, at El Calvario Park: performance by the students of “El Taller del Arte”, a creative space directed by dancers José Franco and Inmaculada Carmona.
– CLASSICAL BALLET, MODERN JAZZ AND LATIN DANCES. Tuesday, July 25, at the Plaza del Reloj: the MT Dance School, directed by Martina Tessaro, presents a modern dance show, with lyrical parts, Latin influences and classical technique with elements of Spanish dance.
– DANCE THERAPY AND FLAMENCO. Tuesday, August 1, at El Calvario Park: performance by students of the Workshop “=ES” (Equals) of Danzaterapia of the delegation of Social Services and Social Integration, directed by Inmaculada Chacón. Then will perform the students of the Dance Academy of Monica Peña.
– BALLROOM DANCING, FLAMENCO AND MODERN DANCE. Tuesday, August 8, in the Plaza Antonia Guerrero: performance by students of the Ballroom Dancing, Cabaret and Oriental Dance Classroom, directed by Mariví Rodríguez, and Modern Dance and Flamenco, with Claudia Ramírez “La Marivilla”.
– SPANISH DANCE, FLAMENCO AND MODERN DANCE. Wednesday, August 9, in the Plaza de la Juventud, in Cancelada, and Tuesday, August 22, in the Plaza Antonia Guerrero: performance of the students of the Spanish Dance and Flamenco Classroom, directed by Eva Alarcón, and Modern and Acrobatic Dance, with Laura and Sara Perea.
– FLAMENCO. Tuesday, August 29, at the Orquidario Botanical Park: performance by the students of the Peña Flamenca School, directed by Antonio Trujillo (dance) and José Fernández (guitar).
– FLAMENCO, SPANISH CLASSICAL AND MODERN DANCE. Tuesday, September 5, in the Plaza Antonia Guerrero: performance by students of the Dance Studio of Gemma Sanchez “La Milana”.
