The XXVIII Summer Book Fair will begin on July 20 with the writer Javier Gonzalez
The inauguration will take place at 20:30 hours, on the promenade. The Fair will remain until September 10, from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 24:00 hours.
Estepona City Council reports that the Paseo Marítimo will host from next Thursday July 20 the XXVIII Summer Book Fair, organized by the company “Urbano Libros”, in collaboration with the Consistory. The opening ceremony will begin at 20:30 hours, and will be attended by the writer Javier Gonzalez Zaragoza, who will present the literary work ‘The fire Pawnee’, denouement of the trilogy ‘Children of the Wolf’.
Javier confesses to be an admirer of authors as diverse as Jack London, Kathleen O’Neil Gear, Alberto Vázquez Figueroa and Harlan Coben. He is an enthusiast of everything that surrounds Native American culture. This historical adventure fiction, set among the tribes of the plains and foothills, closes a series that began with ‘La Aurora Sioux’, followed by ‘The Cheyenne Relic’.
Until September 10, thousands of titles of all styles will be available to lovers of reading at very affordable prices, a cultural option whose main feature is that 90% of the copies will be priced at no more than 5 €. In this way, readers of all ages will be able to acquire the latest novelties and literary successes, as well as short stories, history books, remainders of editions, or out-of-print books that are difficult to find.
In addition, as part of the XXVIII Summer Book Fair, the writer Julio Peces Ruiz Esteponero sign copies of his book ‘The sound of silence’, on Thursday August 3, at 21:00. In the words of the poet Luis Alberto de Cuenca, author of the prologue, we are facing “a realistic and psychologically deep story that invites us with its melancholy beauty to accept life as it is, with its joy and sadness in equal parts.
Likewise, the journalist and poetess of Estepona, Teresa Floro, will sign copies of her first book, “Secretos empolvados”, a collection of erotic poems under the seal of Ediciones Sakana, and with illustrations by the painter Paloma Ripollés. It will be on Thursday, August 17, at 21:00 hours.
