Daniel J. Marcos presents his book of poems ‘Buscador de esencias’ at Casa de Las Tejerinas

The Estepona City Council informs that next Wednesday, July 19, at 18:00 hours, will take place in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, the presentation of the poetry book ‘Buscador de esencias’, a book of illustrated poetry by Daniel J. Marcos from Ceuta.
The book is about love, freedom, beauty and truth, “which will take you on an exciting journey through the mysteries of love, nature, death and rebirth”.
Daniel J. Marcos Fortes was born in June 1985 in Ceuta, where he currently lives. He studies the Baccalaureate of Humanities and is fascinated with culture, literature, language and Greco-Latin mythology, thus being born his love for letters.
In 2017 he graduated in Teaching with a degree in Foreign Language Specialty at the University of Granada. Inspired by the poems of Sappho of Lesbos and Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, he begins to write poetry during his adolescence and completes his training by taking courses in creative writing and creation of poems, through the Aula de Escritores de Barcelona, which helps him win two first prizes (2013 and 2015) and a second prize (2014) in the Young Poetry category of the Youth Awards of the Autonomous City of Ceuta.
In addition to poetry, Daniel is a great fan of photography, music and different styles of dance. He has also practiced fencing since he was a teenager. He has been playing the piano since childhood and has been composing music for this instrument for some years. He currently combines writing with his work as an English teacher.
