The Sound of Christmas’ comes to the Felipe VI Auditorium with tenor Massimo Giordano and soprano Ester Kandinova, along with pianist Nelson Calzi.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that Massimo Giordano, one of the most outstanding tenors of the international operatic scene, will arrive next Friday, December 15 at the Felipe VI Auditorium to present ‘The Sound of Christmas’, a concert organized by Laimtee Art.
The Italian tenor, known worldwide for his powerful and emotional performances, will perform alongside the young Russian soprano Ester Kandinova, an emerging artist whose voice, which literally soars, transports listeners to another world. Both will be accompanied by virtuoso pianist Nelson Calzi, one of the leading pianists at Italy’s La Scala theater.
The repertoire will include the most beautiful opera arias, operetta duets, Christmas melodies and songs, in a show that will not only enchant and captivate the audience, but also create an unforgettable feeling of approaching festivity and magic.
Massimo Giordano is recognized as one of the 44 best tenors in the world. He has performed at the world’s leading opera houses, such as La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan in New York, the National Operas of Vienna, Munich and Berlin, the Royal Opera in London and the Paris Opera, among others. He has participated in numerous festivals and in legendary productions such as Verdi’s ‘Falstaff’, under the baton of Claudio Abbado in Salzburg (conducted by Declan Donnellan).
Nelson Guido Calzi graduated in piano at the age of nineteen with Maestro Claudio Demicheli and, after obtaining the highest qualifications and distinctions, he continued his specialization studies. He soon began his activity as a pianist-accompanist; in the last twenty years he has worked with the most distinguished conductors and stage directors in more than one hundred productions at La Scala. This summer she participated in the recital of the famous baritone Luca Salsi at La Scala Theater and in the production of ‘Macbeth’ at the Salzburg Festival.
Ester Kandinova is a brilliant young soprano singer. Her participation in the Russian program ‘The Voice’, in the team of singer, musician and composer Alexander Gradsky, was decisive in her career. With a voice that soars easily to the highest notes, she has become a true virtuoso of the operatic stage; her brilliant interpretative talent animates each character with magnetic energy and mesmerizing expression. The maestro realized this and entrusted Ester with the leading role in his opera ‘The Master and Margarita’. Interpreting classical and contemporary works, she brings to them a fresh and unique energy that will undoubtedly conquer the hearts of all listeners.
