The City Council organizes a Flamenco Zambomba in the Plaza Antonia Guerrero, starring ‘El Sopa y Familia’.
Christmas carols in your own style, next Friday 22nd, at 8:00 p.m.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that next Friday 22, at 20:00 hours, a Flamenco Zambomba will be held in the Plaza Antonia Guerrero, with ‘El Sopa y Familia’, a saga of magnificent flamenco performers.
When December arrives, Jerez de la Frontera and its surroundings are the scene of one of the most typical cultural and festive customs of Andalusian folklore: the zambombas. Since the eighteenth century, on the eve of Christmas Eve, friends, neighbors and family gathered, and sang and danced Christmas carols.
The zambombas were improvised in the yards of neighbors, corrals, in the courtyards, and in the streets and squares …, with the joy of the whole town to celebrate Christmas with the most characteristic flamenco song, the Zambombas, flamenco rhythms but with lyrics inspired by the Bible.
Declared of Cultural Interest, in recent years it has become a phenomenon that attracts thousands of visitors nationally and internationally.
