More than 500 schoolchildren from 6 schools in Estepona participated in the XII School Music Festival
The event was held yesterday, Tuesday, at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos, with the participation of different musical groups from kindergarten and elementary school.
Estepona City Council reports that a total of 585 students between 6 and 14 years, belonging to musical groups of different grades of Primary six schools in the municipality, participated yesterday Tuesday in the XII School Music Meeting, organized by the 24 Hours Sports Foundation, with the collaboration of the Consistory.
The event, held at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses, brought together groups, pastoral and musical choirs of schools CDPF V. Juan XXIII, and CEIP Maria Espinosa, Antonio Machado, Ramon Lago, Simon Fernandez and Valeriano Lopez.
With 12 editions, the 24 Hours Sports Foundation of Estepona has consolidated this musical event, whose main objective is to promote the dissemination and knowledge of music among young people in the town.
As in previous years, the 24 Hours Sports Foundation held the ‘Operation Kilo”‘, whereby attendees contributed a kilo of non-perishable food, in exchange for admission.
The great participation of students and families has resulted in a record collection of food, which has been donated to Caritas Estepona.
