The Kiev Ballet returns to the Felipe VI Auditorium with a mythical title: ‘The Nutcracker’.
The show can be enjoyed in Estepona on Friday, January 26, at 8:30 p.m., under the artistic direction of Ana Sophia Scheller.
Estepona City Council reports that the Kiev Ballet returns to the Felipe VI Auditorium next Friday, January 20, at 20:30 hours, with the classic “The Nutcracker” by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, one of the most universal works of classical ballet, with libretto by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann, and with soloists Elena Germanovich, Evhen Lagunov, Yevhen Svetlitsa, Pazlevich Uladzislav, Veranika Auchynnikava and Aleksandra Berozkyna.
The Nutcracker is a two-act ballet, originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov to a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The libretto is an adaptation of Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann’s story ‘The Nutcracker and the Mouse King’. It premiered at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg on December 18, 1892, in double session with Tchaikovsky’s opera.
The first act is set in an old German town, at the beginning of the 19th century, on Christmas Eve. People are preparing for the feast. Among the guests at the Stalbaums’ home is an old crackpot, toy inventor and friend of children, Drosselmeyer.
Tickets are on sale at www.tafestepona.com, at the Lopez Agency and at the Auditorium box office on the day of the performance, starting two hours before the start of the show.
For each ticket sold, €1.5 will be donated to UNICEF to support their work in the UKRAINE emergency.
